Supermarkets: New Investment in El Salvador

After investing $3 million, the Super Selectos chain opened a new 2,000-square-meter point of sale in the El Encuentro shopping center in the municipality of San Miguel.

Directors of Grupo Callejas, a business conglomerate that owns the supermarket chain, reported that the new sales point has 35,000 available products, a bakery with fresh products, meats, fruits and vegetables.

New Walmart Stores in Costa Rica

April 2011

The multinational retail chain is in the process of opening two new outlets in Costa Rica for this year.

These are in the Palí format and are located at Cristo Rey and San Rafael de Montes de Oca.

With the opening, Costa Rica now has 136 stores and with them, Walmart of Mexico and Central America totals 552 sale points throughout the region.

New "La Colonia" Store in Honduras

August 2009

Supermarket chain "La Colonia" inaugurated its new store in Comayagua, Tegucigalpa, after a $1.6 million investment.

The chain's 16th store in the country has a constructed area of 12.000 square meters.

"With this new store we are creating 60 direct jobs and 60 indirect ones", reported Fernando Сáceres, Marketing Manager.
