The publication adds that "... with the three new Pali stores, Walmart reaches a total of 176 sales points of this format in Costa Rica. It added that each of the three new facilities required about $1.5 million in investment and the hiring of at least 16 people per case."

According to CentralAmericaData reports, it is predicted that in this new commercial reality that has emerged due to the covid-19 outbreak, it is estimated that the decline in retail food and beverage trade in Costa Rica will be influenced by the drop in sales of seafood, dairy products and sausages.
