Supermarket Construction Planned in Guatemala

The Walmart supermarket chain plans to build a 5,772 square meter store in zone 4 of the municipality of Mixco.

The interactive platform "Construction in Central America" of the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, details that Operadora de Tiendas, S.A. submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to develop the project called, "Walmart Naranjo."

This project will be developed in an area of 18,330 square meters. The plan is to build a store that will have 5 thousand meters of commercial area, with space for a pharmacy, several commercial premises, customer service area and packages.

The document explains that the establishment will have administrative areas, a back room, associates' areas and an outdoor area. For this project it is estimated that the investment will amount to about $4 million.
