Study on Tire Imports in Costa Rica

In Costa Rica $80 million worth of tires were imported in 2014, which is 10% less compared to the amounts reported in 2013.

Imports of new tires used for tourism motor cars decreased by 18% going from $28 million in 2013 to $23 million in 2014. In turn, imports of tires used on buses or trucks, decreased by $2 million, falling from $44 million in 2013 to $42 million in 2014.

However, imports of motorcycle tires registered an increase of 5% in 2014, the same as purchases abroad of tires used on agricultural or forestry vehicles and machines, which in 2014 increased by 8% compared to 2013.

Report on Imports of Sauces and Preparations for Sauces in El Salvador

November 2015

In 2014 imports of sauces and preparation for sauces were worth $48 million, a decrease of 3% compared to 2013.

Imports of ketchup and other tomato sauces remained stable, registering $8.8 million in 2013 and $8.9 million in 2014.

Imports of mustard powder and prepared mustard registered an increase of 7% going from $1.14 million in 2013 to $1.22 million in 2014.

Imports of Food Preparations in El Salvador

In 2014 imports of food preparations totalled $115 million, which is an increase of 22% compared to 2013.

Within this category, imports of composite preparations for the beverage industry recorded an increase of $18 million between 2014 and 2013, making a total of $53 million last year.In turn, imports of bread improvers recorded increase of 88% between the two years, going from $2 million in 2013 to $4 million in 2014.
