Sports Infrastructure for $40 million Announced

The government of Costa Rica has announced that it is working on a tender to be launched in early 2017 for the construction of a 25 thousand square meter aquatic center and a 36,000 meter sports center in San Jose.

From a statement issued by the Government of Costa Rica:

The presentation of specifications, financing, social impact studies, sporting information, recreational information and schedule for the project, which is estimated will be ready in 29 months, was made the Minister of Sport, Carolina Mauri, in a ceremony attended by athletes. The two works add up to an investment of $40 million.

The Sports Pavilion whose investment is $13.5 million will be financed by the ICODER. The Aquatic Center, valued at $25 million will be financed by way of public credit. The work schedule, started in January 2016 and which includes the design, plans, permits, tender of the construction, building works and handover of the facility, consists of 29 months meaning that the project will be finished in November 2018.

$10 million Sports Infrastructure Tender

January 2018

The Panamanian Sports Institute is putting out to tender the study, design and construction of a football stadium and a combat center, in Juan Díaz, province of Panama.
