Sports Complex Awarded for $44 million in Panama

The only bidder in the contest was the consortium Ciudad Deportiva de David 2013, which will have to build a baseball stadium in Chiriqui, a velodrome and ancillary works.

"... was officially awarded to the consortium, the tender convened by the Panamanian Sports Institute (Pandeportes) for the study, design, construction and equipment of this sporting work under the proponent's funding", reported Prensa.com.

Ciudad Deportiva de David will have in the first stage a baseball stadium with capacity for 8000 people, a velodrome, an administrative building and a large parking area.

The proposal submitted by the consortium (comprising of the companies LJV Sporty, Advance Surface, Condotte Panama, Condotte America and Fifth House), was approved by the economic evaluation committee to be subject to the consideration that it does not exceed 20% and is below 10% of the official price which was $45 million.

The consortium Ciudad Deportiva de David 2013, was the only participant in the public tender for this sports complex in Chiriqui.

A contract has been awarded to the company Administradora de Proyectos de Construcción S.A. for the design, construction and equipping of a baseball stadium in the province of Chiriqui.

Four companies submitted bids for the project, with amounts ranging between $15.1 million and $16.7 million. The winning company submitted a bid for $16,249,020.

In Nicaragua, the work was awarded to the consortium Estadio Nacional, composed of engineers D'Guerrero Ingenieros, NAP Ingenieros, Lacayo Fiallos, Meco and Facosa.

The work awarded by the Mayor of Managua is for the construction of a baseball stadium in the City of Managua, which must be completed in 2017 for use in the Central American Games.

Nine Offers for Panamanian Hospital

September 2012

Nine consortiums have submitted bids for technical studies, planning, architectural design, development, and construction plan approval for the Specialized Hospital Center, Dr. Rafael Hernandez, district of David, Chiriquí.

The consortia participants were: Isolux Corsan, Consorcio Acciona Infraestructura, Consorcio Cobra-Assignia, Consorcio Hospital San José Panamá, Consorcio Condotte Ciudad Hospitaria, Consorcio Sanidad David, SACYR S.A, Ingeniero Civiles Asociados S.A. de C.V. and Consorcio Eduinter-Copisa-Becsa.
