Spanish Businessmen to Visit Guatemala

Representatives from 21 companies interested in doing business will arrive on Feb. 23rd

Representatives from 21 companies will arrive in Guatemala on 23rd and February 24th to explore possible business opportunities, said the president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Guatemala, Rafael Briz.

"This is part of a new trade mission that we have organized in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, with the aim of strengthening and promoting business between Spain and Guatemala", said Briz, according to an article in gt.

The companies coming are representing sectors such as technology, construction materials, machinery, energy, defense and security, consulting, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, environment and energy efficiency, among others.

Guatemalan Trade Mission to Italy

Between 22 and 29 of October Guatemalan businessmen will be exploring business opportunities in various sectors of the Italian economy.

During the trade mission, organized by the Italian-Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Agexport, deals are expected to be struck worth around $1 million.

Spanish Investment Comes to Guatemala

The Madrid 2012 mission, consisting of representatives from 21 Spanish companies, held 315 meetings with Guatemalan companies, and established a goal of closing some of the deals within two months.

Among the Spanish companies forming Madrid 2012the mission were: Athelia Solutions, Hispafuentes, Industrias Duero and the consortium Inrialsa-Alquivano, SA, from La Rioja, which announced the installation of a plant which will manufacture PVC windows.

Canadian Businessmen to Visit Guatemala

They will arrive as part of a trade mission organized by the Chamber of Guatemalan-Canadian Commerce.

In order to encourage trade and business generation between the two nations, the Chamber has organized a trade mission to Guatemala in February 2012.

Business people from various industries in Canada make up the group, which hopes to meet with both government officials and representatives of private companies.

Taiwan Participates in Trade Fair in Nicaragua

Nicaragua was one of the countries that received a mission of business people and government officials from Taiwan, who visited the region earlier this month to promote their products.
