The survey entitled 'Encuesta de Hogares de Propósitos Múltiples 2012 ' (Multipurpose Household Survey) 2012 provides statistics on the socio-economic and demographic characteristics of households in the country.

From a presentation by the EHPM:

The main results of the Multipurpose Household Survey (EHPMby its initials in Spanish) for the year 2012, have been presented by the Ministry of Economy.

Since 1975, this survey has been conducted in our country, making use of publicly available databases since 1990.

The EHPM is a statistical tool available to the country for diagnosis of its situation, in order to implement appropriate actions in favor of development and on the other hand, facilitate monitoring the effects of the policy measures that have been taken.

Unemployment in El Salvador Goes Down to 6.3%

After the national unemployment rate remained at 7% between 2014 and 2017, it fell by almost 1% to 6.3% in 2018.

The occupancy rate is the ratio of the employed to the total EAP. It represents the degree of effective use of the human resource available for work. By 2018, the occupancy rate is 93.7%, that is, of every 100 economically active persons, 94 were employed, explains the Multipurpose Household Survey.

New Statistical Methodology in Costa Rica

Under the new calculation, the working population remains unchanged, although the participation rate dropped 2.2% and the occupancy rate 1.03%.

The Costa Rican National Statistics Institute conducted its latest survey, and found that unemployment stands at 7.3%.
