Six Bids for Panamanian Public Market

Six companies have submitted proposals for the project to be built in Colon, the third of eight public markets to be developed across the country.

A press release from the Presidency of the Republic of Panama reads:

The official reference price for the Colon market is 18 million dollars ($18 million)

The companies who bid and their proposals were:
Consorcio HPC-Contratas-P& V S.A: $17, 548,000
MCM Global Consorcio: $19,790,000;
Cocige S.A.: $18,750,000,
Elecnor-Cleop: $18,785,000,
Consorcio Omega: $17,779,000, and
Constructora Urbana S.A.: $17, 500,000.

After receiving proposals for the construction and equipment of the Colon market, the proposed Cold Chain project has made a significant breakthrough with three works already contracted (in David and Panama) and the development of the logistics system and storage facilities, which are pending endorsement of their contracts. In addition, a third market has been put out to tender (Colon), the terms and conditions for ‘La Chorrera’ have already been published on the ‘Panamá Compra ‘ website and soon will be the city of Chitre’s turn.

Bids Submitted for Market Construction for $25.8 million.

Four companies have submitted bids in the tender for the construction and equipping of a Public Market in Chitre whose official reference price was $27 million.

From a press release issued by the Government of Panama:

A total of four companies submitted proposals for the construction and equipping of a Public Market in Chitre, in the tender organized by the Secretariat of the Cold Chain, a work which is being conducted by the government and will benefit over 60,000 people in the region of Azuero .

Concession for Public Market in Colon Awarded

Omega Engineering Inc. has been awarded the contract to build and equip the new site for the public market in the city of Colon.

The official reference price for the Colon market was $18 million and the Omega Consortium,offered $ 17,779 000.

Seven consortia have submitted bids for the construction and equipping of a market in Panama City, a project worth over $100 million.

The company's suppliers and their proposals are: Facilities and Services SACODEPO ($118, 900,000), SA Sacyr ($126,447,000), MCM Global ($124,999,000), Assignia-Cocige ($126,495,000), SA-Cleop Elecnor SA ($109,968,000), Omega Engineering ($126,500,000) and the Consortium Arranz kinase-Riva SA ($120,240,000).

Companies participating in the approval meeting have requested for the deadline for submission of tenders to be extended.

In addition to the request to extend the date by 45 days, they also asked for the performance bond to be lowered from 50% to 25%.
