Service Center for Medical Firm to Grow

Health Dynamics in Costa Rica which provides services to the American West Dermatology Clinic will increase its payroll by 87%.

The Health Dynamics Company in Costa Rica, which aims to increase its current payroll of 32 employees to 60, gives support to West Dermatology, a chain of skin clinics in the United States.

The general manager of the service center, Jorge Zúñiga, told El Financiero, Costa Rica, "The goal is to have 60 employees by the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010, with payments averaging $1.2 million in annual payroll."

IBM Announces Service Center in Costa Rica

IBM's operation in Costa Rica currently provides services in human resource processes, management of customer relations, finance, accounting and shared services to IBM customers in North and South of the USA.

Amway Opens Service Center in Costa Rica

The direct sales company invested $2 million to open a service center.

The first shared service center for the Americas will provide financial and accounting services for the region and in its first two years of operation will generate 160 direct jobs.

"This is the company's first venture into the shared services market and with near-shoring outsourcing", reported newspaper La Prensa Libre.

Convergys Opens Operations in Costa Rica

Convergys, an American company specializing in the service area, opened its third center in the country.

With over 35 thousand square feet, modern facilities at Park Ultra II, will allow the company to add 500 people to its payroll, amounting to 1600 employees in the country and thereby becoming one of the top ten employers in the services area, according to data from CINDE.
