From 17th to 19th of February Panama City will be hosting an event which will address issues related to design technology and manufacture of canvas structures and stretched materials.

The event will be held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Technological University of Panama, and is being organized by the Institute for Membrane and Shell Technologies (IMS-Institute), the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau, Germany. reports that "... This is a nonprofit academic style event, whose program will include discussions relating to the planning, design, calculation and manufacture of membrane structures and some new technologies being applied in modern architecture. "

Conference on Structural Engineering

From August 5th to 7th construction and engineering companies will be meeting in Costa Rica to discuss issues related to construction and structural design of buildings, bridges and special structures.

Central American Forum on Sustainable Construction

Businesses and professionals will meet on May 20-21 in Costa Rica to discuss issues related to design, architecture and sustainable building.

Promoting sustainable design and construction in the professional, business and institutional community is the primary objective of the Central II Regional Forum Sustainable Design and Construction of the Central American and Caribbean Alliance for Sustainable Development (ACCADES) to be held in Costa Rica on the 20th and 21st of May at the Park Inn Hotel in San Jose.
