Salvadoran tourism promoted at fairs

During the first two weeks of September, El Salvador will participate in two tourism fairs being held in Florida, United States.

The first is called the The Summit 2008, one of the fairs dedicated to tourism that has the most impact in Latin America. The second is The Trade Show which will be held from the 7th to the 9th of this month in Orlando.
A group of business people from the tourism sector is accompanying the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) at the fairs in order to represent the country to American and European wholesalers who sell tourist packages in the market in the United States and Latin America.

El Salvador Travel Market 2014

October 2014

Over thirty wholesale companies from the United States will participate in business roundtables with local operators on October 23rd and 24th in the capital.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Tourism of El Salvador (MITUR):

Over 30 wholesalers from the United States, will be in the country for the second edition of the El Salvador Travel Market 2014 (ESTM2014), which starts on Thursday 23 October and which includes business meetings in a hotel in the capital.

El Salvador: International Promotion of Tourism Enterprises

January 2014

The country will be present in three international tourism fairs that will be held in January in Orlando, Madrid and Utrecht, in The Netherlands.

This year the Ministry of Tourism through the brand "El Salvador impresionante" (Impressive Salvador) will promote the country globally as a tourist destination in 17 international fairs, with the goal of strengthening the attraction of foreign visitors to the country.

El Salvador Travel Market 2013

September 2013

From September 6th to 8th the first exhibition to promote tourism in El Salvador will be held, directed mainly at the U.S. market.

The event will be held at the International Center for Fairs and Conventions (Cifco). "This will be a meeting point for Salvadoran and international wholesale businesses with those who want to strengthen trade ties to boost sales of Salvadoran destinations in Canada, the United States and Mexico", reported

Costa Rica Tourism Promotion Plan

September 2010

With a $2 million investment, the Costa Rican Tourism Bureau (ICT for its acronyms in Spanish) will promote the country as a travel and business destination in 28 international fairs.

During the 2010-2011 season, that starts on September 19th, the ICT will participate in 15 fairs in North America (U.S., Mexico and Canada), 9 in Europe and 4 in Latin America.
