Restaurants: Investments in Costa Rica Announced

During the rest of the year, the Papa John's pizza restaurant chain plans to open seven new points in the Greater Metropolitan Area.

The company said in a statement that the first of the seven locations that are planned to open, is located in Barva de Heredia and began operating last August 24.

Nacion.com reviews that "... The expansion of the brand in Costa Rica is due to the arrival of the new group operator Drake Food Services, a company that acquired the representation of the franchise in November last year, detailed the company."

The article adds that "... Despite the country's economic conditions, businessmen see opportunities for growth and Papa John's will create more than 100 jobs in the remainder of 2019.

Papa John's currently has 24 restaurants nationwide and is working on market studies to open more stores outside of the Greater Metropolitan Area beginning next year.

Pizza Chain is Preparing New Investments

In Costa Rica, the Pizza Hut chain expects to invest about $1.6 million in the next few months in the opening of six new sales points outside the Greater Metropolitan Area.

This year alone there are plans to open at least two outlets under the Nicaraguan franchise Tip Top, which last year tried its hand in the center of the province of Alajuela.
