On April 27, the countries will have a coordination round where the guidelines and schedule for restarting the negotiations will be established.

Friday, April 24, 2009

The meeting seeks to restart talks for a Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the CA-4 countries (Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Honduras).

Guillermo Castillo, technical coordinator of the Business Committee for International Negotiations (CENCIT) told Prensalibre.com that "there are only a few products that still need to be negotiated with the Canadians, but they are the most sensitive such as sugar, meat and coffee."

Talks between Canada and the block have been stalled since 2004.
