Report on Construction Projects up to January 2015

Roadworks, gas stations, residential developments and expansion of a shopping center, are part of the list of environmental impact studies presented in January in Guatemala.

The report "Construction Projects in Guatemala - January 2015" prepared by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData.com, provides a list of major construction projects which during the month of January submitted environmental impact assessments (EIA) to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Guatemala.

One of the projects which an EIA was presented for involves the construction of a self service gas station, called "Estación El Triángulo", which will be located in the city of Chimaltenango.

Standing out in the real estate sector, is the expansion of a shopping center in Mazatenango, Suchitepequez.

In the first quarter of 2019, 76 environmental impact studies were submitted to develop condominiums, apartment buildings and other housing projects in the countries of the region.

In 2017, 437 environmental impact studies were presented in countries in the region in order to develop vertical and horizontal housing projects.

Costa Rica: Mixed-Use Towers for $40 million

August 2016

The plan is to build four mixed-use towers with a total of 47,200 sqm which will be located in San Pedro in the Canton of Montes de Oca, province of San José.

The project includes construction of four towers of between 4 and 7 stories, which will be dedicated to combined uses, such as offices, shops and residences. The works will take 18 months and will start in 2017 and the companies promoting the work are i Cúbica, Replica Estudio, Proinsa and Comission Consulting Company.

Panama: $46 million in Residential Projects

January 2016

Horizontal condominiums and apartment buildings make up most of the list of residential construction projects for which environmental impact studies were submitted in October 2015.

The report "Construction Projects in Panama - October 2015", prepared by the Business Intelligence unit at CentralAmericaData.com, provides a detailed list of major construction projects for which environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies were presented to the Ministry of Environment in October.
