The "Information System for the Impact Analysis of Covid-19 on Business", prepared by the Trade Intelligence Unit of CentralAmericaData, measures the impact that the crisis will have on companies according to their sector or economic activity, considering different scenarios for the coming months.

It is expected that this year the income of car rental companies in the region could fall up to 37%, if in Central American countries the measures of isolation of people and restriction of mobility decreed by the governments are extended for three months.

The information contained in the interactive report allows estimating that in this context of health alert, the reduction in the demand of car rentals by corporations, will be the main reason behind the fall in sales of the sector.

The services provided to public administration institutions in general is another activity that will affect the car rental business to a lesser extent.
