ASI to hold second regional congress on energy

Under the theme: "Energy: Essential for Sustainable Development and Regional Competition", the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists, ASI, is preparing the second Regional Congress on Energy, on 19, 20 and August 21 to be held in the Sheraton Hotel in San Salvador.

The Congress is a coordinated effort by various stakeholders and aims to provide a space to raise the discussion on energy to the highest level. In addition it aims to present the latest developments in the regional Market for electricity, renewable energy and energy efficiency.

From August 23 to 25, energy industry entrepreneurs will be meeting in San Salvador to discuss issues related to the development of renewable energies in Central America.

The event is being organized by the Salvadoran Industry Association (ASI) and will take place at the Sheraton Presidente Hotel in El Salvador. 

International Event on Energy in Panama

On October 20th and 21st entrepreneurs from the region will gather together in Panama City to discuss issues such as the electricity market rules, new and renewable energy projects.

This year the 8th. International Symposium on Energy seeks to promote spaces for reflection on energy issues, to help analyze the performance and limitations of developing new projects, build consensus, define the options for the energy market and, finally, develop a social impact using the media.

Energy Forum in El Salvador

On November 6 companies in the sector will meet in San Salvador to discuss the regulatory framework of the electricity market and the integration of renewable energy in the country.

Energy Agreement Between El Salvador and Guatemala

The state run electricity companies have signed a cooperation agreement to develop joint research activities and establish a legal framework for the future exchange of energy in the regional electricity market.

Comisión Ejecutiva Hidroeléctrica del Río Lempa (CEL) of El Salvador, which has an installed capacity of 472 megawatts, and the Instituto Nacional de Electrificación (INDE) of Guatemala were responsible for signing this agreement which will facilitate energy trade.
