Real Estate Development: New Projects Approaching

A shopping mall in Panama, a multi-purpose real estate complex in Guatemala and the expansion of a drinking water system in Costa Rica are part of the investments planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive system "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Trade Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects that are expected to be built in the coming months.

Detail of some of the Environmental Impact Studies presented recently:

Mishbaja Holding, S.A. plans to build a shopping center on a 1.13-hectare site in Tocumen, Panama. According to the study, nearly $27 million will be invested in the development of this project.

Negocios Pinecrest, S.A. presented the EIA to build in Zone 16 of Guatemala City, a complex consisting of five buildings for residential, commercial and corporate use. Approximately $11.9 million is expected to be invested in the "Olmos Buildings" project.

In Costa Rica, the Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewerage plans to improve and expand the drinking water system of the City of Puerto Limon. The works also include works in storage tanks, and according to the study, the investment will reach $3.5 million.

Multipurpose Building for $18 million

A 22-floor commercial and residential building is planned in Zone 10 of Guatemala City, which will have 11 basements for parking vehicles.

According to the interactive information system "Construction in Central America" of CentralAmericaData, Forum Americas 14, S.A. plans to build a tower that will house shops, offices and apartments.

$63 million Real Estate Investment

June 2018

East of the Costa Rican capital, in Curridabat, plans are underway to build a mixed development consisting of an office and apartment tower, and a shopping center with 200 stores, cinemas, food courts plus 1,200 parking spaces.

The project, according to the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) submitted in February of this year to the Setena, also includes expansion and remodeling of the hardware store EPA. 

$61 million to be Invested in Real Estate Development

September 2017

An environmental impact study has been submitted for the construction in San Miguelito, Panama, of a mixed complex consisting of six apartment towers and a tower for commercial use.

Data from the Interactive System "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, indicates that in June Inmobiliaria Panamá Bella S.A. submitted an Environmental Impact Study (EIA) to the Ministry of the Environment.
