Archaeological Study Tender Extended

After no bids were submitted for the tender of the archaeological study on property belonging to Ferrocarriles de Guatemala, it was decided to postpone the date of receipt of bids to August 10.

The National Agency of Partnerships for the Development of Economic Infrastructure (Anadie) extended the deadline for receiving offers, in the process for tendering a study that will establish whether or not there are relevant cultural features in the subsoil of the property occupied by Ferrocarriles de Guatemala.

This study is necessary for the Institute of Anthropology and History to determine the issue and authorize the release of the land that is located in Zone 1 of Guatemala City, and with that the authorities can proceed with the project to tender the State Administrative Center.

According to the specifications of the tender, the study consists of formulating an Archaeological Rescue Project, which must be based on the requirements established in the Regulation of Archaeological Research and Related Disciplines (Ministerial Agreement 001-2012).  In addition, it must be submitted to the General Directorate of Cultural and Natural Heritage for approval and the necessary steps taken to sign an Archaeological Rescue Agreement with said institution.

Port Project Management Tender Postponed

November 2016

The Maritime Authority of Panama has extended to December 13 the deadline for submitting proposals in the tender to oversee the construction of the cruise port in Amador.

The receipt of bids was scheduled for November 24, but the Maritime Authority postponed the date in response to a request made at the approval meeting by the participating companies, who raised the possibility that the term be extended by four weeks.
