Production of Alcoholic Beverages Up 2%

In the first four months of 2018, production of alcoholic beverages in Panama amounted to 102.8 million liters, 2% more than in the same period in 2017.

n dir="ltr">According to the latest figures from the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, the production of alcoholic beverages in general registered a year-on-year increase of 2%, rising from 100.8 million liters from January to April 2017, to 102.8 million liters for the same period in 2018.

In the first four months of 2018, Gin was the liquor that recorded the largest increase in production compared to the same period in 2017, rising from 600 thousand liters to 795 thousand liters, equivalent to growth of 33%.

For the periods in question, beer production increased by 2%, growing from 97.1 million liters in 2017 to 98.8 million liters in 2018.

In the first quarter of the year, the production of alcoholic beverages in Panama was 95 million liters, 8% less than that recorded in the same period of 2018.

The most recent figures published by the General Comptroller of the Republic, detail that the production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decline, reducing from 102.8 million liters from January to April 2018, to 95.1 million liters in the same period of 2019.

According to the most recent data from the Comptroller General of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in general reported a decrease, falling from 182.3 million liters from January to July 2017, to 172.9 million liters in the same period in 2018.

May 2018

Led by a rise in beer brewing, in the first quarter of 2018 the production of alcoholic beverages in Panama amounted to 77.8 million liters, 5% more than in the same period in 2017.

According to figures from the General Comptroller of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in general registered a year-on-year increase of 5%, rising from 74.2 million liters from January to March 2017, to 77.8 million liters in the same period in 2018.

March 2018

In January, 26.4 million liters of alcoholic beverages were produced, 2% more than the production registered in the same month in 2017, led by an increase in the production of gin.

According to figures from the General Comptroller of the Republic, production of alcoholic beverages in general registered a year-on-year increase of 2%, rising from 25.6 million liters in January 2017, to 26.4 million liters in the same month in 2018.
