Prequalification: Construction of Hydroelectricity Station

MCA - Honduras is pre qualifying companies to build and operate a 20 MW hydroelectric plant on the site of Multipurpose Dam El Tablon.

Honduras Government Purchase PR-01-EL-2016 TABLON:

"The prequalification documents apply for prequalification of participants in the award for the right to use water, structures and state land for the construction of a dam for 4 years and operation for 25 years of a hydroelectric plant with a view to producing 20 MW of electricity at the site of the Multipurpose Dam El Tablon.

The concessionaire will sell electricity within the framework of the existing law for the electricity industry in a liberalized energy market. Investments in infrastructure (dam, reservoir etc.) are assured through government funds, under the conditions established in the concession contract.

The components of the water supply for the city of San Pedro Sula and surrounding areas and irrigation for Naco Valley will be developed at a later stage, with the possibility of concessionaire's participation in these new concessions or developments.

The various technical reports and studies will be made available to participants who are prequalified and on the short list. "

The deadline for receipt of bids is March 28, 2016.

"

Panama: Concession Awarded for Mini Hydro Station

July 2014

The grant is for the construction and operation of a hydroelectric station of 4MW known as Analida in the province of Cocle.

From a statement issued by the National Authority of Public Services Panama:

Resolution:

"...FIRST: AWARD to the company HIDROELÉCTRICA RÍO CHICO, S.A., registered on Listing 833361, Document 2597265, in the Mercantile Microfilm Section of the Public Registry of Panama, rights to a concession for the construction and operation of the hydropower plant called Analida, using the waters of the river Chico, located in the village Las Huacas, Capellania and La Toza, District of Nata, Cocle Province, with an installed capacity of 4 MW. "

23 MW Hydroelectric Plant in Guatemala

July 2014

The Guatemalan government has granted a 50-year concession for the construction and operation of the Hydroelectric Station Recreo II, in the town of San Felipe Retalhuleu.

An article on Nacion.com reports that "... Through the agreement 215-2014 published today in Diario de Central America, the MEM allows installation of the plant for a period of 50 years. The agreement is signed by the Minister Erick Archila. "
