Some of the companies which have found a niche market in the preparation of gourmet food specialized in the country, have emerged in response to the lack of time for people to cook and the need that several consumers have to meet the goals they define together with nutrition professionals. reports that Michael Schaefer, global director of Food and Beverages at Euromonitor, explains that "... the 21st century is experiencing an increase in freshly prepared meals, ambient spaces and mobile commerce. As more consumers know the food, there is a demand to reflect this greater knowledge and do so with quality, in terms of variety, ingredients, seasonality and freshness.

The article adds that "... EF identified at least a dozen, of which Good Food, Food Studio, Slim Box, Kuker and Alavida answered questions about their business models. Other local companies in this segment are Baraná, Paleo, Sanahorias, Fara, Nutrición To Go and Pimiento Rosa."

The companies consulted by reported that they regularly have coverage in the Greater Metropolitan Area, and that their plans range from weekly to monthly, where they can include breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
