Preparations for Construfer 2013 in Guatemala

From 18 to 21 April, the eleventh construction exhibition will take place in Guatemala receiving national and foreign entrepreneurs who are seeking new investments and businesses.

According to Amanda Vega, business manager at the Guatemalan Chamber of Construction (CGC), they expect the participation of 150 national and international exhibitors, from the U.S., Spain, Korea and Central America, among other places.

The GCC expects that there will be about 3,500 business contacts and about 350 negotiations during and after the event."We expect to generate about $6 million from the business conferences," said De Vega.

"The business manager said that among the innovations that will be offered in this edition is the introduction of new lines of heavy equipment for construction, a pavilion of wood working companies and new companies from Spain, Korea, the United States and Central America to present technology to the industry," noted an article in Siglo21.com.gt.

Construfer Admission costs $1.28 per person and the event will be held in the Industrial Park. The activity will be attended by business people and senior executives, entrepreneurs in the sector, in addition to technical students.

Representatives from 110 Central American construction companies will have their meeting from today until next Saturday.

Rodolfo Gándara, president of the organizing committee of the International Construction Fair (Construfer), explained that they expect to close deals for $20 million.

The International Construction Fair will be held from November 4th to 7th in 'Parque de la Industria' (Industry Park).

It is organized by the Guatemalan Chamber of Construction, who expects over 30.000 visitors.
