Potential of El Salvador in Medical Devices

International experts presented the advantages of the country as an investment platform in the medical devices and pharmaceuticals industries.

A statement from Agency for Export and Investment Promotion of El Salvador (PROESA) reads:

The Agency for Promotion of Exports and Investments of El Salvador (PROESA) invited international experts to learn about the advantages of the country as an investment platform in the industries of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.

PROESA and the Ministry of Finance held a press conference in which they gave details of a seminar entitled "Opportunities for growth in the Salvadoran industries of medical devices and pharmaceuticals", held today. The seminar was inaugurated by Mr. Giovanni Berti, PROESA’s CEO, and Mr. Armando Flores, Minister of Economy.

In 2011 sales of Salvadoran services abroad totaled $1.1 billion, 10% more than in 2010.

The Agency for Promotion of Exports and Investments in El Salvador, PROESA, today (Wednesday 24th) held the 1st International Forum on Export of Services in order to raise awareness of global trends, the outlook for the region and the country as well of some of the success stories of exporters of services. The Forum's main purpose was to stimulate more interest by Salvadoran firms to venture into this activity with high growth potential.
