An analysis of consumer interests and preferences in Guatemala, prepared by CentralAmericaData's Trade Intelligence Unit, provides interesting results on the characteristics and people who express interest in beauty and personal care products.

The population with the highest average income in the country shows interest in hair care products and fragrances. When each segment is analyzed, 10% of the population shows interest in fragrances, and of this group of consumers, 5 out of every 10 are between 21 and 30 years old.

In Guatemala, two out of ten consumers show interest in some type of cosmetic, and about 68% of them are between 15 and 30 years old, and have a low level of purchasing power.

On the other hand, the analysis details that the population with less consumption capacity shows interest in beauty salons and spas.

When analyzing the population in general, it is observed that 20% show interest in beauty salons, and 43% of that segment is between 21 and 30 years old. In the case of spas, for example, 22% of Guatemalans report an interest in this type of place, and of that portion of the population, 22% is between 15 and 20 years old.
