Pans & Company Lands in El Salvador

In El Salvador, “Pollo Campero” will open two restaurants using Spanish brand “Pans & Company”.

This is the first result of the alliance between two restaurant groups: Pollo Campero and Group Eat Out (owner of Pans & Company). Said alliance was announced a year ago, but was made official with this announcement.

The agreement also includes opening two new Pans & Company restaurants in Guatemala, where there is already one.

Elsalvador.com reported that each restaurant will require a $500.000 investment.

The Spanish sandwich chain opened in Guatemala its first Latin American store.

They operate over 300 restaurants in Spain and Portugal, and expect to open two additional locations in Guatemala City and one in El Salvador.

Gabriela Ramírez, brand manager for Central America, told Prensalibre.com: “… the arrival of Pans & Company comes as a result of the alliance between Pollo Campero and Spanish group Eat Out”.

The Guatemalan multinational will open its first restaurant in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf.

Nicaraguan company Deli Pollo, owner of the franchise, presented its expansion plan for 2010.

It currently operates a franchise in Honduras, and will open two restaurants in Costa Rica in the short term.

Bismarck Alemán, finance manager, told newspaper Laprensa.com.ni that "...the company expects to expand to Central America, Mexico and United States. In a second stage, South America and the Caribbean".
