Panamanian Trade Mission to Peru

A trip to the South American country is being organized for Panamanian entrepreneurs in mid-October with the aim of exploring business opportunities in the agricultural and industrial sectors.

The mission is being organized by the Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Exports, and up to now 15 companies have confirmed their participation, including some from the Colon Free Zone.

Capital.com.pa reports that "...To consolidate this visit, the profile of Panamanian products has been analyzed, and potential buyers have been identified. The mission will have the particularity of implementing a methodology based on the application of proven good practices that lead to the achievement of concrete results, based on analysis and preliminary market studies, informed the director of the Agency for Attracting Investments and Promotion of Exports in Panama, Alberto Alemán."

"...Companies taking part in the mission will cover an agenda in the city of Lima which includes, in addition to the business meetings, concerted visits to important sales points in order to find out about market behavior and competition."

Companies in Costa Rica interested in participating in the international business conference to be held from September 27 to 29 2016 have until July 31 to sign up.

A statement issued by PROCOMER states that "The event, in its 18th edition, will bring to the table 300 foreign buyers from at least 30 countries."

Intraregional Trade Opportunities

May 2013

Four Costa Rican companies from the area of packaging and containers participated in business meetings with Honduran entrepreneurs in order to establish direct business relations.

The event was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Cortes (CCIC), where entrepreneurs were supported by the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promotion Office (Procomer).
