Panama Promotes Two New Touristic Routes

Panama Tourism Authority (PTA) is developing two new touristic routes in the Veraguas province.

BB&M Publishing Agency will develop the advertising campaign.

Jaime Cornejo, director of the Tourism Master Plan of the Panamanian Tourism Authority, noted that in the next three months they will invest to improve the spots that will be visited by tourists and to train the inhabitants of these zones.

The director added that this model will be developed in other provinces as well and that they have a $2 million budget.

Nicaragua Tourism Plan Announced

New Central American Tourist Route Presented

The Honduran Tourism Institute presented a new tourist guide of the region, "The Colonial and Volcanoes Route."

The new guidebook is aimed at promoting development of tourism in the region and promotes Central America as a competitive and quality destination.

The Secretary of Tourism of Honduras, Nelly Jerez, during the presentation pointed out that "Central America expects more cooperation from all tour operators in the region, especially airlines, to allow easier movement of visitors between the countries of the region and beyond," says the article in EFE.

TACA Leads Tourism Recovery Initiative in El Salvador

TACA Airlines and the Salvadoran Tourism Chamber (CASATUR) presented a proposal for reactivating the country’s tourism industry.

Ricardo Granillo, TACA’s sales director for Central America, explained that they intend to position the country as a tourism destination, with an updated and strong portfolio of services.
