Panama: $ 5.5 Million Water Treatment Plant

The Panamanian water and sewage institute is inviting bids for the enlargement of its treatment plant in Chame.

Written information about the design method and construction should be provided for the different phases of the project.

A period of 540 natural days has been established for executing these works at the plant, which is located in the Province of Panama.

Companies have until October 20th to submit their bids.

For the second half of 2011 sewers authority IDAAN plans to build a water treatment plant in the city of Colón.

Rodrigo Barragán, IDAAN executive, told Bnamericas that they are conducting feasibility studies for the project, which would be capable of handling 114 million liters a day.
