Panama: Works in Cultural Center for $5 million

A contract has been approved with the company Arquitechne SA for the design, and construction of new areas and restoration of the old government building in the province of Colon.

As part of the Urban Renewal Project of the province of Colon, the Cabinet Council has approved a contract for the design, development plans, construction of new areas, adjustments and complete restoration of the old building of the Government of Colon.

After having convened two public tenders, and in light of a lack of bidders, the Cabinet approved through an exceptional procedure, a contract between the National Institute of Culture (INAC) and the company Arquitechne SA to renovate this building built between 1904 and 1906, making it the first monumental public building built in the country after its separation.
