Panama: $16 million shopping mall

Plans are underway to build a shopping center in an area measuring ​​85 thousand square meters, which will have parking for 1,000 vehicles, cinemas and restaurants, located in Penonome, Cocle province.

The company Grupo Z, S.A. plans to invest $16.2 million in construction of the mall, for which an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study was submitted to the Ministry of Environment in November 2016, indicating that the project will be called Penonomé Mall.

The project is to develop a shopping center in an L-shape in order to take advantage of the topography of the area, in an area of 85 thousand square meters. The project will involve the construction of a building with a metallic structure with sloping ceilings, with two elevations at most, and in some parts of the building one, an access area and two parking levels, indicates the EIA.

The project will also include common areas (main entrance - Panamerican highway and secondary entrances: Calle San Agustin and De la Esperanza, main corridors) project areas (commercial stores, anchor stores, food court, administrative area, cinema, premises for restaurants), service area (parking with a capacity of 1,100 vehicles, engine room, tanks, electrical room, loading and unloading area), green areas, and a waste water treatment plant area.

An environmental impact study has been presented for the construction of a 13 story mall and 103 shops in the city Las Tablas, province of Los Santos.

The company GOLF REALTY INC. presented to the National Environmental Authority of Panama an environmental impact study to develop a commercial building on 13 levels containing 103 shops, called Hacienda Plaza.
