Panama: Seven Companies Bid for Children's Hospital
Of the 24 companies present at the clarification meeting for the tender, in the end only seven presented bids.

Today it will be determined if the companies meet the requirements of the technical proposal to build the new Children's Hospital. In the next thirty days the evaluation committee must submit a report to present the winning of the award.
The project award is for best value and separate evaluation.
For the third time the bids submitted by companies interested in building the new hospital will be reviewed.
The Directorate of Public Contracts annulled the second report by the tender evaluation committee, after participating companies denounced more irregularities.
"Now the committee will evaluate proposals from five companies who qualified in the process, they are: Consorcio Hospital San José Panamá, Acciona Infraestructura, Agrupación Nuevo Hospital del Niño, Consorcio FCC-HN and Consorcio Nuevo Hospital del Niño."
Participating companies have reported irregularities in the award of the work.
Companies interested in the tender for study, design, plan development, construction and financing of the new Children's Hospital in Panama have alleged there are irregularities in the award of the project.
The Ministry of Health is to assess the economic proposals presented in the tender for the construction of a new Children's Hospital.
Under the order of the Public Procurement Directorate, the Ministry of Health will review again the economic proposals of the companies that participated in the tender for the construction of the new Children's Hospital, on 18 November.
Companies participating in the approval meeting have requested for the deadline for submission of tenders to be extended.
In addition to the request to extend the date by 45 days, they also asked for the performance bond to be lowered from 50% to 25%.
"Among the companies that attended the meeting were: Sacyr, MCM Global, Heliopol, Copanac, Edificar Panamá, Constructora Meco, IBT Group, Semi, Cleop, Ocean Cross, FCC and Riva.
