Panama: Road in the West Planned

The Government has announced studies for a 25 km road that would connect the agricultural area of ​​Veraguas with Los Santos.

The government is considering developing a 25 kilometer road which would begin in Arena Quebro, in the province of Veraguas and go as far as Cortezo in Tonosí, province of Los Santos.

From statement issued by the Ministry of Public Works of Panama:

The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) is evaluating routes to integrate the province of Veraguas with Los Santos through a new road measuring about 25 kilometers.

To this end, the Minister of Public Works, Ramon Arosemena Crespo, along with members of the Directorate of Studies and Design at the MOP visited points between the two provinces, in order to define the most viable place to develop this road that will connect them.

Tender specifications are beign prepared for work on the expansion to four lanes of several sections of roads and construction of 200 kms of roads and internal roads in the district of La Chorrera.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Public Works in Panama:

During the Cabinet Council held in the school Moisés Castillo Ocaña in La Chorrera, the Minister of Public Works, Ramon Arosemena Crespo announced the widening to four lanes from the Market of La Chorrera to the Nicolas Solano Hospital, and also the expansion to four lanes of the road going from the old road to sector Vacamonte.
