The Panama Canal Authority expects to start in February the construction of a specialized Roll On-Roll Off cargo terminal in the Pacific, next to the planned container port in Corozal.

China and Another Panama Canal Expansion

Studies are being carried out to ascertain feasibility and demand for the construction of a fourth set of locks on the Panama Canal, with interest in the project being shown from the China Harbour Engineering Company.

Representatives from the China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), who have shown interest in the finance, design and construction of a fourth set of locks, will be visiting the country in order to follow up on the studies and projects which the Panama Canal has planned for the coming years.

More Port and Logistics Investment in Panama
