Friday, May 22, 2015

Although a spokespeople for the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) say they have maintained tourism marketing efforts through other tactics such as presence in international fairs, the tender to hire an advertising agency to be responsible for international promotion has not yet been published. Last year the ATP had said that would be announced in the first quarter of 2015, "... but it is now scheduled for the second half of the year, with the selected company being responsible for promotion from 2016 to 2019."

"...While a call to the public event is being made, the ATP will directly implement what they called an emergency plan". They will invest $5.2 million to resume international promotion, but this time the marketing campaign will focus on digital media (internet, social networking, etc.). "

Prensa.com reported that "... Aldo Antinori, director of advertising at the ATP recognizes that the intensity of promotion has decreased, but says they have kept up participation in international fairs and tours with tourism promoters in other countries. "
