There are also plans for creating an area where commercial ships and touristic yachts could dock.

"Muñoz explained that the Free Zone has seen little development since its creation, so the main challenge its getting it up and running", reports Laestrella.com.pa. "Muñoz considers regrettable that the province of Chiriquí is note being exploited for commercial and touristic ends, despite its geographic virtues".
