Panama Launches $64 Million Roadworks in Veraguas

The Public Works Ministry (MOP) began the project to design and build roads and bridges in the province of Veraguas.

Works on the road between CPA - San Félix and Quebrada Guabo, include road cleaning, ditch construction as well as implementation of selected materials.

They have also started working in removing and applying paint on the Rio San Felix Bridge.

Panama: Tender for Road Widening for $850 million

The proposed expansion and rehabilitation of 185 kilometers of the Inter-American highway from Veraguas to Chiriqui is being divided into five parts to be tendered separately.

The information was released by the chief of Public Works, Jaime Ford. This amount is $100 million more than the $750 million suggested by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

With a price tag of $43 million, seven companies have submitted bids for the project to design and construct roads and vehicular bridges in western Panama.

A press release by the Ministry of Public Works of Panama reads:

During an event, held at the facilities of the Orange Fair in El Cacao, companies submitted their proposals based on the reference price of 43 million 390 thousand dollars ($43.39 million).

Panama Tenders Roadworks for $40 million

The Ministry of Public Works has put out to tender the design and construction of roads and vehicular bridges in western Panama.

The works include reconstruction of about 50 kilometers, divided into 6 different roads. Also included is the design and construction of 8 vehicular bridges, between 15 and 100 meters long.

Construction work began on rehabilitation projects at Soná Boulevard as wells as design and construction of roads and bridges in Veraguas.

The order to proceed was given by the Ministry of Works to companies Bagatrac SA and Conalvías, SA.

Construction work on the Sona Boulevard will be implemented by Bagatrac at a cost of $ 8.2 million in an area of 2.48 km.
