Panama Tenders Radiology Supplies for $ 2.4 Million

The Social Security Fund of Panama tenders the purchase for three years of products and supplies for radiology departments.

The tender includes the supply, storage, transportation and delivery, through orders, of products, supplies, automatic injectors, thermal and laser printers for the high-definition radiology departments of hospitals and clinics.

Interested companies should submit their proposals by February 17, 2011.

The Social Security Department and the Ministry of Health in Panama are putting out to tender a supply of various medical supplies.

Panama Government Purchase 2016-1-10-0-08-LP-196880:

"Supply, storage, transportation and delivery, according to need and requirement, of products and radiographic supplies for the departments and services of medical radiology nationwide in hospitals, polyclinics, ULAPS and other places established by the social security department during a period of 24 months minimum and extensions of its validity. "

Contracts have been awarded in Panama of contracts for the supply, storage, transportation and delivery of materials and medical supplies for the Social Security Department.

Of the 59 products tendered only 54 were awarded to the companies Terapias Avanzadas S.A., Medline Solutions Panama Inc., Alta Tecnología Médica S.A., Alpha Mediq S.A., Kendall S.A., Hospimédica Panamá S.A., Compañía Astor S.A., 3M Panamá, U.S.

Hospital Information System Tender for $9.5 million

August 2011

The Panamanian Social Security Department has put out to tender a hospital information system.

The CSS requires a single corporate system, to be used by all components of the Network Services of the Health Department, composed of 70 health care units and 15,000 professionals.

Panama: $120 Million in Medicines

October 2009

The Social Insurance Institute (CSS), has earmarked $120 million for acquiring medications in 2010.

With these resources, the institution expects to supply 100% of the needs of its clinics and health centers.

Guillermo Sáez, director of CSS, told "We are already looking for a way to purchase these medicines in bulk, in order to lower our costs. We need providers to change the way they do business with us...".
