Panama: Expocomer Goes Global

The participation of countries such as India and Turkey at the trade fair taking place from 26th to 29th of March reflects the interest in the region that exists globally.

Organizers of the Panamanian trade fair Expocomer explained to Mexican businessmen that the event is becoming increasingly global, confirming the interest in the region aroused from businesses around the globe.

"... it is expected that companies from more than 30 countries will attend, with about 850 modules installed in the grounds of the Atlapa Convention Center," said Raul Del Valle, president of the organizing committee.

"... Countries such as India and Turkey, have increased their presence at the trade fair since last year, with 40 modules each in the next issue, compared to the 36 that Mexico has, for example."

32% of exhibitors are from Central America and the Caribbean, 31% in Asia and 20% from South America.

EXPOCOMER 2020 will take place in Panama City from March 25 to 28. Businessmen from 30 countries will participate in the event, exhibiting food products, beverages, textiles, clothing and accessories, technological and electronic equipment.

Jorge Garcia Icaza, president of the EXPOCOMER 2020 Organizing Committee, reported that the exhibition area of the fair to be held at the Atlapa Convention Center has sold out 90% to date and this year's edition is expected to attract the participation of some 30 countries from the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia, who will attend this event to take advantage of opportunities to present everything from food and textile lines to technology and home appliances, among others.

10,000 Entrepreneurs Expected at Expocomer

Trade missions in America, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean will be meeting in Panama, in the traditional annual event where companies will have an opportunity to generate new business.

Expocomer 2017 will include the participation of entrepreneurs from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, the Caribbean and Africa, Colombia, Costa Rica, Korea, Cuba, Chile, China, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, the United States, Guatemala, India, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, Turkey and Venezuela; and for the first time, Canada and Nigeria.

Expocomer 2010 Expects $100 Million in Deals

500 companies from 23 countries will participate in the Expocomer 2010, to take place in Panama from March 3rd to 6th.

Its organizers expect more than $110 million in deals, as it was in the past three editions of the event.
“The largest pavilion in Expocomer 2010 is the Chinese one, with 80 modules, followed by Taiwan with 62, and Mexico and Colombia, with 50 each”, reported Prensa.com.

Expocomer 2009 launched in Panama

June 2008

The twenth-seventh annual Expocomer will take place March 4-7, 2009.

Expocomer will provide a site for businesses from more than 30 countries from Europe, Asia and the Americas to exchange information about offers of products and business opportunities.
