Panama: Bids to Build 'Ciudad Esperanza'

The proposals submitted by four companies to build the 'City of Hope' project in Arraijan range from between $137 million and $164 million.

Under the shadow of protests against Odebrecht's participation in the tender as part of one of the consortia bidders, stemming from charges in Brazil of acts of corruption, bids for the construction of the so-called 'Ciudad Esperanza' or 'City of Hope' were received.

Four companies submitted proposals to build the 'City of Hope' Project

The public ceremony for the tender of the 'City of Hope' Project, located in the district of Arraijan, town of Vista Alegre, was held this Wednesday, June 24, with the participation of four companies who submitted proposals to participate in the award of the work, said the Minister of Housing and Land Management, Mario Etchelecu.

The companies that participated were: China Harbour Engineering Company LTD, which submitted a proposal for B / 164,266,240.00, Construcciones Civiles SA General and Ingenieros Civiles Asociados SA de CV, whose proposal was B / 150,711,885.19, Arraiján Consortium, B / 139,994,685.45 MCM consortium with CCA and B / 137,000,000.00.
