Panama Awards Sanitation Contracts

The Contractors/Enercom Consortium will be responsible for sanitation works in Colon, Kuna Yala and Panama.

With a bid price of $ 2.3 million the company will design and construct ten integrated water and sanitation projects.

"The other companies involved were Contratistas Generales y Eléctricos, S.A which submitted the highest priced proposal at $ 2.4 million, followed by the winning company and ELECTROVENT y Servicios SA and Machine Tractors, with proposals priced at 2.6 and 1.7 million dollars respectively," reported Prensa.com.

In Panama, the consortium led by FCC Aqualia has obtained a contract to build and operate a wastewater treatment plant in Arraiján Este, the trunk system and its interconnections.

The proposals put forward by the consortiums taking part in this tender were Consorcio Abba Arraiján, Consorcio Degremont Suez Burunga y Consorcio PTAR Arraiján 2016. The proponent in the process of receiving the award is the consortium PTAR Arraiján 2016, which presented the lowest bid for $120,450,584.69.

Panama: Four bids to Build Sewers

Proposals ranged between $99 million and $117 million and were submitted by Consorcio Aguas de Santiago, Consorcio Rodsa, Constructora MECO and SACYR Construcción for construction of a sewer system in Veraguas.

The National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) reported that six companies submitted bids, but only four met the requirements set out in the tender documentation.

Three Proposals for Metro Line 2

Three consortiums made up of Chinese, Spanish, Peruvian, Brazilian and Mexican companies submitted bids for the design and construction of Line 2 of the Panama Metro.

From a statement issued by the Metro Department of Panama:

The Metro de Panama SA this morning received proposals from three consortia aspiring build Line 2 of the Panama Metro.

The proposals for project management of line 2, range between $32 million and $36 million, in the tender where the reference price is $40 million.

Companies have until May 23 to address technical aspects of the tender, and then be evaluated based on the specifications of the Secretariat of the Panama Metro (SMP).
