Panama Announces $24 million Bidding for Mobile Hospitals

The Ministry of Health is putting out to tender the supply, installation and maintenance of three mobile hospitals.

These hospitals will be located in the regions of Metetí, Darién Province, in Mariato, Veraguas and Tole, Chiriqui.

The Ministry of Health requires the hospitals to include equipment and to comply with applicable ISO and international quality (IEC).

The objective of the Health Ministry is to bring primary and emergency medicine to marginalized regions as well as solving the overcrowding problem in the country's current hospitals.

Bids must be submitted on January 7, 2011.

The Panama Health Coordinator has invited bids for $ 23.5 million in administration of a washing center for the Ministry of Health in Curundú.

The bidding is for restoration, equipment, supply, maintenance and operation of washing and ironing of hospital and other public institutions.

Six Companies Bid For Hospitals in Panama

May 2010

On Monday, interested companies submitted their bids for building 5 hospitals in Panama, for an estimated $386 million.

The participating companies are: Samsung Corporation, Senisa, OHL Arellano, Consorcio HPP, FCC Constructores S. A. and IBT.

The proposed complexes will be built in the provinces of Darién, Chiriquí, Los Santos, Veraguas and Colón.
