The proposal of the public company Mi bus consists in reconfiguring lanes on the North and South corridors, in order to enable an exclusive bus lane along both tracks. The company First Transit, manager of Mi Bus, explained that $15 million will be allocated to enabling six lanes instead of the four that currently exist and $7 million will be spent on road signs.

For the purchase of new buses the company plans to invest $46 million.

Alfonso Penedo, president of First Transit, administrator of Mi Bus, told Prensa.com that "... it is a job "designed and programmed" to be held in conjunction with other institutions to improve the service offered to 74,754 people using the corredors every day in public transport vehicles.

"...He noted that the measure will enable average time savings of 65% for public transport along these routes. That is to say, Metro Buses will take between 27 and 46 minutes less transporting passengers."
