Panama: $66 Million Hotel Investment

The Realtor Albrook plans to build three hotels in the Albrook Mall by 2012.

Mayor Alfredo Alemán, president of Panamanian Realtor Albrook, commented that the construction of the Days Inn, Ramada Plaza & Casino and Gran Terminal hotels will generate around 1,000 permanent jobs.

"Alemán explained that Ramada Plaza & Casino hotel, which will cost $29,340,000 to build, will feature 326 rooms aimed at corporate clients and tourists as well as a gym, pool and access to the mall," reports Laestrella.com.pa.

The Salvadoran group is building 'Plaza Tempo' in Escazu, a shopping center and office complex.

The 16.000 square meters of office complex and the 6.300 of commercial areas will be integrated into the Holiday Inn Hotel, which will open in less than a month.

"The complex will have space for 934 vehicles and the spinal cord of the project will be a pedestrian street crossing the commercial sector and ending at the five-story Office Center," reported the article in Nacion.com.

Albrook Mall Expansion Worth $25 Million

The Realtor Albrook is to invest in the fifth stage of its Albrook Mall development in the Panamanian capital.

The work is expected to take one year and includes 110 new commercial premises in a 5,000 square meter site.

"Mayor Alfredo Alemán, Albrook president, commented that in total the mall expansion has cost $325 million.
