Panama: $46 million in Residential Projects

Horizontal condominiums and apartment buildings make up most of the list of residential construction projects for which environmental impact studies were submitted in October 2015.

The report "Construction Projects in Panama - October 2015", prepared by the Business Intelligence unit at CentralAmericaData.com, provides a detailed list of major construction projects for which environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies were presented to the Ministry of Environment in October.

The Ministry of Housing and Land Management presented an EIA to build 15 buildings in Cristobal Colon Province, each building will have 4 levels with 4 apartments on each floor, measuring 48 m2. The project will be developed in a polygon of 1 Ha + 5400.85 meters and an investment of $13 million will be required.

An EIA was submitted to adapt, level and fill in an area in Chepo, Panama Province measuring 2Has + 5244.60 m2, for the construction of 18 houses and a shopping area. The study indicates that the investment amount is $10 million.

The Developer San Marcos SA submitted an EIS to divide a 8ha + 2272.94 m2 piece of land in Pacora, Panama Province into lots, which will be used for 227 lots for homes and 10 lots for buildings with 16 apartments each, making 160 apartments in total. The investment amount anticipated for this project is $10 million.

Cheng & Ingram presented an EIA to build, in Las Mananitas, Panama Province,
88 detached houses which on average have a construction area of 267 m2. The study indicates that $5 million will be invested.

High Hills Enterprices, Inc. submitted an EIS for divide into lots, design and develop a piece of a land in La Chorrera, Panama Province, to create 269 detached houses in an area of ​​8 hectares. The EIA indicates that an investment of $3 million will be required.

Inmobiliaria San Ezequiel SA submitted an EIS for construction in David, Chiriqui, of six apartment buildings, each with 3 levels. According to the study, $2.5 million will be invested.

Potrerillos View SA submitted an EIS for the construction of 99 homes in Bugaba, Chiriqui. The document indicates that $2 million will be invested.
