Panama: $30 Million for Health Infrastructure

Works planned for the coming months in the district of Panama include a $12 million tender to build a health center in the township of Pueblo Nuevo.

The Ministry of Health has announced that it will be allocating $29.7 million to developing several works for the construction of new health centers and renovation works or other existing centers in the district of Panama.

From a statement issued by the Presidency:

The Minister of Health, Miguel Mayo, detailed that the entity is making progress on the investment of 29.7 million balboas in projects in the six corregimientos of the 8-7 circuit.

He said that the investment will be used for the construction of facilities and the maintenance of the infrastructure that will benefit more than 400 thousand people in the capital city.

In the area of Kuna Nega, Ancón district, 2.2 million balboas will be invested in the construction of a new Health Center, which will directly impact the residents of this sector.
