Panama: 2.3% YoY Inflation up to September

In September the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.3%, with the categories of Health and Food and Beverages increasing the most.

From a statement issued by the National Institute of Statistics and Census of Panama:

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in September compared to August 2014, showed an increase of 0.3% for both the National Urban Area and for the districts of Panama and San Miguelito and Other Urban Areas. Compared with September 2013, an increase of 2.3% in the National Urban Area was observed; 2.5%, in the districts of Panama and San Miguelito and 1.9% in the Other Urban Areas. So far this year, the National Urban CPI showed a cumulative increase of 1.9%.

In September the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.17%, placing inflation accumulated so far this year at 2.90%.

The Central Bank of Honduras reports that in September 2016, monthly inflation measured by the change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 0.17%, which is higher than the amount twelve months earlier (-0.21% ). This behavior is mainly explained by the increase in fuel prices in the local market.  Annual inflation stood at 2.90% (2.76% in September last year) and accumulated inflation stood at 2.90%.

Guatemala: Annual Inflation up to August 2016 is 4.74%

In August the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.18%, accumulating inflation so far this year of 3.32%.

A report by the National Institute of Statistics shows that the Consumer Price Index for August 2016 stood at 125.72, recording a monthly variation of 0.18%, and compared to August last year the variation was 4, 74%.

Year on Year Inflation Falls in Panama

September 2014

In August the consumer price index recorded an increase of 0.1% compared to the previous month, putting the inter-annual inflation rate at 2.1% up to August.

From a statement issued by the National Institute of Statistics and Census of Panama (INEC):

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in August compared with July 2014, registered an increase of 0.1 percent in the National Urban Area and 0.2 percent for the districts of Panama and San Miguelito; while for the Other Urban Areas, it showed a decrease of 0.1 percent.

In June, the consumer price index rose by 0.5% compared to the previous month, with the divisions of food and beverages, health, clothing and footwear, and transport having the largest growth.
