Panama: 23 Interested in $38 million Roadworks

Twenty three companies have expressed interest in participating in the tender to build the El Guabal - Luis Rio - Calovébora highway in the province of Veraguas.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Public Works:

Twenty three contractors attended today's meeting to approval the tender conditions for the Best Value Tender for Project Design and Construction of El Guabal - Luis Rio - Calovébora Highway in the province of Veraguas.

The reference price used is $38,708,793.22 and on this basis the interested companies must prepare their proposals.

A clarification meeting has been for the tender for an interchange on the Panamerican highway road whose reference price is $33 million.  

The companies who attended the clarification meeting held by the Ministry of Public Works were: FCC Construcción de Centroamérica S.A., Alquileres y Ventas Panedi, Conalvías S.A., Ceiusa, Conconcreto, Constructora Meco S.A., and Heliopol PMA.

Panama: 19 Companies Interested in Road Tender

August 2013

Ten construction companies and nine service companies attended the pre tender meeting for establishing the specifications for the expansion to four lanes of the Inter American Highway from Veraguas to Viguí.

Prensa.com reports: "This is the first of five sections that the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) is putting out to tender in order to complete the widening to four lanes of the highway between David and Santiago".
