Panama: $15 million to Renovate Educational Centers

The Ministry of Education will be carrying out maintenance work in 300 educational centers nationwide.

Among the works that will be carried out are the "...Cleaning of green areas, repair of chairs, retouching paintwork, minor repairs such as plumbing, electricity, blacksmithing and roofing, maintenance of structures, which includes installation of tiles, ceiling, doors, among other things, are some of the works that will be carried out in the different educational centers."

Elcapitalfinanciero.com reports that "...Among the 303 schools are 244 large schools, which have more than 500 students, and 59 medium and small schools that have between 50 and 499 students, as revealed by a press release by Meduca."

$20 million Investment in Private School

September 2018

An Environmental Impact Study has been submitted to build, in Ancon, province of Panama, a school that will have 15,000 square meters of open and closed areas.

The study was presented by King's College Panamá, S.A. and details that the work will be located on Clayton Albrook Street, in the village of Ancón, it will be built in two phases. Investment in the first phase is expected to amount to $12 million and in the second $8 million, making a global investment of $20 million.

Panama: $92 million for Educational Infrastructure

This year the Ministry of Education plans to allocate $92.5 million for the construction, renovation and maintenance of schools in different areas of the country.

Authorities at the Ministry of Education (Meduca) explained that out of the $92.5 million, almost $76 million will go towards building and renovating schools nationwide, and another $17 million will be allocated to maintenance work.

Guatemala: $95 million for Educational Infrastructure

The government plans to start renovation works on 160 schools nationwide in 2018.

Officials of the Executive announced that the Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (CIV), will be responsible for renovating 160 schools in different areas of the country. For these works, the CIV plans to invest around $95 million over a period of 4 years.

Panama: Infrastructure Projects for $75 million

Sanitation, drinking water, construction and repair of schools are part of the works which the government announced will be carried out this year in Ngäbe Bugle.

From a statement issued by the Government of Panama:

The Cabinet Council held in Llano Tugrí approved projects in the fields of education, housing, health and infrastructure directly impacting 197.981 residents Ngäbe Bugle.
