Tuesday, December 9, 2014

The first tender being held for small generators exceeded industry expectations. Currently the technical bids are being evaluated and it is expected that financial bids will be opened on the 12th of December so that the selected companies can begin providing energy between May 2015 and December 2016.

Prensalibre.com reports that "... The contracts will be for 10 years for new plants and five years for existing ones. Among generation technologies that have been offered are those using liquefied petroleum gas, coal, bunker fuel, diesel, hydraulics, biomass, biogas and solar. "

"... The contracts for distributed generation, with plants that must be placed in 11 different municipalities, according to the competition launched by the company, arose from the need to inject energy into very isolated areas, because Energuate has branches or networks which are very long. "
